Named after the Mayan God of day and night, Itz’ana Resort and Residences celebrates the contrasts from which it was born: where beach meets lagoon, adventure meets luxury, and the Caribbean meets Latin America.
The project Itz’Ana Resort & Residences is located in Belize in a town called Placencia in Central America. Between the sea and lagoon, unspoiled nature where reef meets the rainforest, the real beauty of this place is impossible to imagine. The world’s second-largest barrier reef is only a stone’s throw and the Mayan ruins are waiting to be explored.
The Boston-based architect, who was responsible for this project grew up in this region himself. This fact is reflected in the forms and materials he used for the interior and exterior. Each house has water decks and outdoor pools of course. Move-in dates are anticipated for the end of 2016, while the Resort will open its doors for its visitors winter 2016.
