Everyone knows how to get a six pack, but how many people will do something about it?
“Get Addicted to the lifestyle we share” was born 3 years ago. I started different communities in exactly this row; Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Tumblr. At 13K likes on Facebook with a high interaction, it was time to build a website to finally generate money.
Currently, I’ve been through a lot of failures and VALUABLE lessons. I lost probably more than 50K valuable followers because of suspensions on different channels.
I almost gave up and had some breaks to without creating and sharing new content or developing anything. But there were 3 things that were motivating me; results, growth, and independence. Even in my breaks, the money came and every month there were hundreds of more visitors from Google and Pinterest doubled it. That meant that I almost achieved my goals so I never really gave up!
More than 900 articles on the Getaddicted.net domain are still generating lots of traffic and is estimated for a living in Thailand or another cheap country at the moment.
The only way to achieve this is self-discipline. I made quite a lot of money with this if I may say so, but I worked more than 40 hours a week for it (besides my normal full-time job)
Our first website was built by someone else, but I really needed to figure out every small detail of it, I wanted to manage the skills. Thinking that anything you can imagine is possible was my key. Of course, it didn’t take long before the first conflicts came with my web-designer. He came with pronunciations like “that is not possible” without coming up with an alternative. I took matters into my own hands and that was not easy!
Just do it!
Nowadays I’d rebuild Get Addicted more than 10 times by myself, and published 9 different other professional websites. On the other part, I started my own company GDWebseiten which is offering Websites & Webshops with online marketing and basic graphic design for entrepreneurs.
Imagination, goals and getting up early are very important things to achieve this.
Success in life comes by certain choices you’ve made, but most of all because of your dose of self-discipline after these good choices.
No one else is responsible for your life
From the moment you leave your parents’ house, it is time to make your own choices, you are responsible for your life and the choices you make. Nobody decides for you what works for you, who you are or how you fill in your time, JUST YOU! If you are not satisfied with how your life is at the moment, it is time for you to make different choices. Take responsibility for everything in your life, and even though some things insurmountable, you can always choose how you react to this.
The path of least resistance
The biggest enemy of success is the path of least resistance. When you always choose things that you like rather than the things that are important, you will never achieve the success which you are actually able to.
To reach your goal you only need three things: a clear vision of your goal, a plan to get there, and serious action. Sometimes you AND I, have to learn that you have to choose the important things over the fun and easy things if you will ever really want to be successful.
Think long term
Have you ever wonder where you’ll be in ten years? What are your actions to achieve your goals? How many new things can you learn? The best way to predict the future is to create it.
Blood Sweat and tears. It all came over before you’ve accomplished your goal. It seems that obstacles came like mushrooms out of the ground, and mostly just before you reach your goal. Unfortunately we can do nothing about it and it’s an extra reason to go on, because it means that we almost achieve where we work so hard for.
Remind yourself every day of your goals
To increase your self-discipline it is important that you remember your goals every day. Only by reminding yourself what you do and why you do this, you will be able to undertake the necessary actions, even in the downturn.
Decide in advance that you will never give up
It is important to have a plan B ahead. When you write down your goals, you must promise yourself that you never give up, even though it is equally difficult.
When you love what you do, you will be able to achieve all your goals in mind. Maybe not exactly the same, but eventually you will succeed.
