Thailand has a lot to offer, but it’s also a very busy country. Do you like to go off the beaten track and because of that you let Thailand left? Do not! After reading this blog about the Khao Sok National Park, I promise that you immediately want to book a ticket to Thailand!
Khao Sok National Park
Khao Sok is located in the southern Thailand, two hours west of Surat Thani and three hours north of Phuket and Krabi. It has not been discovered by mass tourism and therefore a relief as travel through Thailand. The highlight of the park is surrounded by limestone rocks Cheow Lan lake.
Sleeping in a floating tent
A must do in Khao Sok is a night floating in a tent on Cheow Lan lake. We stayed in the Rainforest Camp Elephant Hills which is more glamping than camping. You will stay in a large tent on a raft with a private bathroom and king size bed. Power is limited there, generated by a small solar cell in your tent. You also have no or limited WiFi. So you’re really just one with the nature.
Explore the jungle of Khao Sok
From your floating tent, you enjoy the most of the picturesque countryside where you are in. The rest of the lake you’ll explore by your surroundings by canoe and lying in your tent. A big tip is to go hiking in the jungle with a guide. This is the only way to explore the jungle around the lake from the country. The views from the high cliffs around the lake are beautiful. Moreover, you can spot all kinds of animals, monkeys, and insects in the jungle. Is Thailand still on your bucket list? Then you must certainly visit Khao Sok!
