A billionaire from Saudi Arabia Alwaleed bin Talal is planning to donate a multi-billion dollar fortune over the course of the next years to charities. Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, one of the richest men in the world, will donate 32 billion dollars to organizations that promote health and provide emergency relief in disasters. Furthermore, the money should go to women’s groups and agencies that try to eradicate diseases.
The 60-year-old billionaire will not say whether the gift also affects his own possessions. Bin Talal is the grandson of the founder of Saudi Arabia, Ibn Saud.
Bin Talal started his business empire with a donation of $27,000 from his father and a loan of $270,000. In 2005 he had nearly 6 billion euros in his possession. He has invested in the Savoy Hotel in London, Apple, Citigroup and News Corp.
